REFLEXOLOGY SERVICES

Reflexology is an established holistic modality that is recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) as a body-based practice. It is non-invasive and supports the body's ability to balance and restore health. Benefits include stress reduction, detoxification, hormonal balance, lymphatic flow, blood circulation, quicker healing, mental alertness, improved sleep patterns, and enhanced response to massage, chiropractic adjustments and other forms of bodywork.

Reflexology is a form of bodywork where thumb and finger pressure is applied primarily to the feet (and sometimes to ears and hands). Reflexology is based on the belief that reflex areas on the feet relate to specific parts of the body. Therefore, imbalances in the body may be normalized by working through reflexes in the feet. This service is ideal for those who are seeking stress relief and detoxification and are hoping to address physical conditions by balancing the body systems. The reflexology technique is primarily thumb-walking, which is similar to a moving acupressure. I thumb-walk over all parts of the feet, from the toes to the ankles. Clients usually feel like they are getting a foot massage and are generally relaxed throughout the session.

Sometimes, I'll incorporate Acupoint Reflexology in your session, which involves acupressure and energy balancing. It helps to cleanse your body's energetic pathways and works on a deeper psycho-spiritual level. Instead of thumb walking, I hold specific points (reflex and acupressure points) until the energy in those areas is balanced. Clients usually say this is super relaxing. Sometimes they report sensations of floating or "going somewhere." Currently, I'm offering reflexology at Pure Bliss Spa and Shop in Madison, GA. Book your appointment HERE.

CLIENT COMMENTS:
"I really enjoyed the session and in addition to it being very relaxing, I noticed that most of my sinus symptoms are gone or on their way out. The previous few nights I had been coughing and had had some trouble falling asleep because of it, but it didn't happen last night. I also didn't wake up one time throughout the night. Great stuff!"

"After the treatment and for days afterwards I felt taken care of and nourished. Directly after the treatment my feet felt so rested and soft and my whole body was relaxed. Kristen is a beautiful soul.... I appreciated her caring and loving attention, her knowledge, her non-judgmental attitude and her healing touch."

"I lost consciousness several times. I didn't hear the music or feel anything. I was in another state where I wasn't aware of my body, a place where time stands still. It just felt so peaceful, no stress, no pressure. [The Acupoint Reflexology] is like you're touching but not touching and I gently just ease away."
